She didn’t want much,
She didn’t ask for much,
Just to be loved, for her heart to be accepted,
With open arms, she let her love flow.
Her desire was to change the world,
Her purpose was to remain a good girl,
Her prayer was to never lose herself,
But what she got was worst!
Her glo… faded,
Her time… wasted,
Her tears… drained,
Her hopes and dreams… tarnished.
What was left of her? Nothing!
She stared into the mirror but couldn’t see,
Where had she gone to? Who had she become?
No idea! All she could ever picture is a broken reflection.
My friend Ken wrote a poem too on the same topic. You shoul check his amazing poems. Have a great day. God bless.
